About the Provider

Helping people tell their story, feel heard and strengthen their relationships with themselves and others is the driving force behind Bobbi's therapy practice. Her background in community health includes serving people with anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, gender dysphoria, psychosis and personality disorders, among others. She also has experience with crisis intervention and suicide prevention. Bobbi finds it particularly rewarding to work with people experiencing significant life changes and transitions, survivors of domestic and sexual traumas and those who want to know themselves better.

Much of Bobbi's work with her patients is rooted in supportive, person-centered and psychodynamic approaches, including mentalization based treatment. She also uses a strength-based, solution-focused approach, cognitive behavioral therapy and/or motivational interviewing, as appropriate.

When she's not working, Bobbi enjoys practicing tai chi, being outside, watching funny sketch comedy shows, listening to music and eating chocolate—preferably all at the same time. She's a lifelong Portland resident and Blazers fan and who continues to live in the community with her husband, two young kids and their beloved dog and turtle.
