Provider Bio

Megan Sapp, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife at Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.

About the Provider

In her practice, Megan enjoys forming trusting partnerships with patients and their families and empowering them to make informed decisions throughout their care. Having completed graduate school for midwifery in 2007, her practice history includes a clinical faculty position at University of Maryland School of Medicine, in addition to working in a freestanding birth center. Her experience in both low-intervention birth and higher risk pregnancy has resulted in a special appreciation for helping people in a variety of circumstances have satisfying birth experiences.

Outside of her clinical work, Megan chairs the American Midwifery Certification Board committee that develops the national board certification questions for midwives. She also chairs the Providence Portland Peer Review committee for Women's and Children's departments. When she’s not working or volunteering, Megan enjoys running roads and trails, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending time with her goofy rescue dog.
